Following development schemes of MHRD and MSDE, Government of India, has been implemented in our/ through our Polytechnic.

- 2. Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY)
- 3. Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA)
Community Development through Polytechnics (CDTP)
Preamble
The Community Polytechnic Scheme (CPS) was launched in 1979 by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) and was implemented during the period 1979-2007. Having successfully implemented the scheme of CPS for nearly a three decade of period (1979-2007), the MHRD introduced the scheme called as Community Development through Polytechnics (CDTP) in 2009.
This scheme was an improvement of the erstwhile scheme of CPS and our Polytechnic was selected as per the norms of MHRD, have implementing the scheme effectively.
As per the MHRD Norms and guidelines for Scheme of Community Development through Polytechnics, Polytechnics can, render vital assistance in the community development work. This, they can do partly by utilizing their own resources and partly by mobilizing the resources available at the higher technological institutions. In order that the human resource is developed for gainful employment/self- employment, the training must be need based, and should provide employable/ self-employable skills. The purpose of the skill development is to create skilled and knowledge based manpower by empowering them technically so that they can earn their sustainable livelihood. The involvement of Polytechnics in implementing the Scheme of Community Development through Polytechnics is need of the hour.
OBJECTIVES OF THE SCHEME
The main objectives of the scheme are:
- 1. To Carry out Need Assessment Surveys to assess the technology and training needs;
- 2. To Impart Skill Development Training to the intended target groups;
- 3. To disseminate Appropriate Technologies for productivity enhancement;
- 4. To provide Technical and Support Services to rural masses and slums dwellers;
- 5. To create Awareness among the target groups about technological advancement and contemporary issues of importance.

In order to impart skill training and accomplish ground level physical delivery of new technologies at the doorsteps of the rural people, our Polytechnic conducted certification courses in many places for making the human resources of Soraba taluka productive.

Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY)
Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) is the flagship scheme of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE)started in the year 2016. The objective of this Skill Certification Scheme is to enable a large number of Indian youth to take up industry-relevant skill training that will help them in securing a better livelihood. Individuals with prior learning experience or skills will also be assessed and certified under Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
Our Polytechnic has also conducted a course under PMKVY for Women on FT.
Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA)
Vision
Unnat Bharat Abhiyan is inspired by the vision of transformational change in rural development processes by leveraging knowledge institutions to help build the architecture of an Inclusive India.
Mission
The Mission of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan is to enable higher educational institutions to work with the people of rural India in identifying development challenges and evolving appropriate solutions for accelerating sustainable growth. It also aims to create a virtuous cycle between society and an inclusive academic system by providing knowledge and practices for emerging professions and to upgrade the capabilities of both the public and the private sectors in responding to the development needs of rural India.
Goals
- To build an understanding of the development agenda within institutes of Higher Education and an institutional capacity and training relevant to national needs, especially those of rural India.
- To re-emphasize the need for field work, stake-holder interactions and design for societal objectives as the basis of higher education.
- To stress on rigorous reporting and useful outputs as central to developing new professions.
- To provide rural India and regional agencies with access to the professional resources of the institutes of higher education, especially those that have acquired academic excellence in the field of science, engineering and technology, and management.
- To improve development outcomes as a consequence of this research. To develop new professions and new processes to sustain and absorb the outcomes of research.
- To foster a new dialogue within the larger community on science, society and the environment and to develop a sense of dignity and collective destiny.
Our Polytechnic has now registered as a participating institute of UBA 2.0 in order to help our nation achieve its goal of accelerating sustainable growth.
