Government Polytechnic Old Student's Association (R), Soraba
The Alumni Association started in the November 2011 and got registered vide certificate No.DRS/Reg. No. 380 /2011-2012 Date: 06-01-2012 plays an important role in helping to shape the future of our Institution by representing the views of its members, and contributing to building an engaged and supportive alumni community.
The registered office of the Alumni association is located in the premises of the Government Polytechnic, Soraba-577 429
Aim of the Alumni Association
- To provide a forum for the former students of our institution to meet, to promote fellowship to consider matters of general welfare of the Polytechnic.
- To arrange Lectures / discussions / seminars on issues of current interest.
- To arrange human resource development programs, cultural activities, literary campaigns and sports competitions and health programs for the welfare of the students.
- To extend scholarships, financial assistance, to arrange or to sponsor college students for training and other human resource developmental activities.
- To supplement the efforts of institution for the general welfare and to take requisite measures to secure close collaboration with that of institute.
- To promote co-operation and self help among the members, students of the polytechnic, and staff members.
- To promote peace, harmony and national integration.
- To help students get the knowledge of modern Technologies.
The First Executive Committee got the Alumni Association registered at the Office of Registrar of Societies, Department of Co-operative, Shivamogga under Karnataka Act 17 of 1960.
